How to resize multiple photos at once
- Tap Choose photo and select several pictures from your gallery or folder. On a computer you can also drag a group of images onto the page. Up to 50 are processed; extra ones are ignored with a message.
- Set the limit you need: type a maximum in KB, add exact dimensions if every photo must be the same size, or pick a preset in Fit for….
- Watch the list fill in with each photo’s new size and a tick or a cross. Then use Download all (ZIP), or the Download link beside a single photo.
Files keep their original names with the new size added, for example mug-front-1000x1000.jpg. If you change a setting afterwards, press Re-run with current settings.
Good to know
Every photo gets the same settings. If you set both width and height, each photo is cut from the centre to that shape, because there is no per-photo cropping in batch mode; add a photo on its own when you need to frame it exactly. Photos are handled one after another so a phone does not run out of memory, and HEIC photos from an iPhone are converted on the way. The ZIP is built in your browser as well.
For online sellers
Matching sizes make a shop grid look tidy: give every product photo the same width and height, then keep an eye on the cross marks, which appear when a limit is too tight for the dimensions you asked for. Shopify’s published limits are on our Shopify product image page. For Etsy or Amazon, check the current rules in their own help centres before choosing a size.
Frequently asked questions
How many images can I resize at once?
Up to 50 in one go. If you choose more, the first 50 are used and the tool tells you.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Each photo is resized in your browser and the ZIP file is created there too, so nothing leaves your device.
Can I use different sizes for different photos?
Not in one run, since a single set of settings applies to all. Change the settings and run the remaining photos again.
Why does one photo in my batch show a cross?
The size limit was too tight for the dimensions you asked for, or the file could not be read as an image. The message beside the photo says which.
