What this page does
| Maximum size | 50 KB (1 KB = 1,000 bytes) |

| Dimensions | Unchanged unless you set them |
| Privacy | Processed in your browser, never uploaded |
This is a general size limit, not an official requirement. Check the limit on your own form.
Compress a photo to 50 KB in three steps
- Tap Choose photo and pick the image. Phone photos of several megabytes are fine.
- The maximum is already set to 50 KB. If your form says “20–50 KB”, also enter 20 as the minimum.
- Check the green “Meets: under 50 KB” box, then tap Download.
The download is named with its final size and dimensions, for example resizepics-413x531-48kb.jpg, so you can tell versions apart.
What 50 KB looks like
At 50 KB a passport-style portrait of around 200×230 pixels keeps clear detail, because there are few pixels to store. A full-size 12-megapixel phone photo cannot fit, so the tool reduces its pixel dimensions first and then fine-tunes the quality. If you need a specific pixel size, enter it under Exact dimensions and the file will be cut to that shape and compressed to fit.
A real example: the verified IBPS PO / Clerk photo rule is 20–50 KB at 200×230 pixels, which this tool can produce in one step.
If it still won’t fit
When you fix exact dimensions and the limit is too tight for them, the tool says so (“Can't reach 50 KB at …”) instead of silently giving you a bad file. Remove the dimensions, or lower them, and try again. Photos with fine texture, such as grass or fabric, need smaller dimensions than flat-coloured ones.
Frequently asked questions
How do I compress a photo to 50 KB on my phone?
Open this page in your phone browser, tap Choose photo, select the picture from your gallery or camera, and download the result. Everything happens on the device.
Can I make the file between 20 KB and 50 KB?
Yes. Enter 20 in the minimum size field and 50 as the maximum. If the first result is smaller than 20 KB it is raised in quality, then padded if necessary.
Which format should I choose for 50 KB?
JPG is the safest choice because every upload form accepts it. WebP is a little smaller at the same quality but many government portals reject it.
Is there a watermark or sign-up?
No. The tool is free, has no watermark, and does not ask for an account or email.
